HangTime at Knott’s Berry Farm: planning your ride

HangTime is a dive coaster with a 150-foot vertical lift hill. At the crest, riders pause for several seconds at a 60-degree angle before the drop.

Knott’s describes the 96-degree drop as California’s steepest. The track runs 2,189 feet and includes five inversions: Negative-G Stall Loop, Immelman, Corkscrew, Cutback and Cobra Roll. Those figures give you a sense of the ride’s scale and sequence before you join the queue.

The ride’s height range is 48 to 77 inches. Test seats are located at HangTime’s entrance, so you can check the seating before you queue.

Loose articles cannot be left on the ride platform. You can leave them with someone who isn’t riding or store them in ride lockers.
